Hyderabad: In recognition of his services in the field of Science and Technology, Gitam University has decided to award honorary degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc) to Prof. Aasutosh Sharma. This degree would be awarded to him in the VI Convocation of Gitam University to be held in Hyderabad on 21st January.
It may be noted that Prof. Sharma is the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. He has an excellence record of services in the fields of Nano Technology, Nano Composites, Energy, Health and Environment. He is responsible for the establishment of a unit of the Department of Science and Technology on Nano Technology in IIT Kanpur.
Chancellor of Gitam University, Prof. K. Rama Krishna Rao, VC, Prof. G. Subramanyam, Pro-VC, Prof. D. Hari Narayana, Registrar, Prof. M. Pota Raju, members of the Board of Management, Directors of Various schools of the university will attend convocation function.
