New Delhi: Online aggregator for entry level job search and recruitment AasaanJobs announced upgrading its mobile web version that works without net connectivity, which will now be able to intercept customer requests with the integration of service worker.
The company incorporated service worker, a script, which is run by the browser in the background and has the capability to intercept requests. It holds the key to implement new features like Offline capability, Geofencing and others.
AasaanJobs can intercept and cache requests prior to firing them towards its servers. Doing so enables the platform to serve customer requests directly through the cache, when the query is repeated. Touted to be the future of web development, service workers can let users access certain features of an online platform even with limited internet connectivity.
“Application usage has come a long way since the 90s when there used to be tons of applications in our Desktop. Be it E-mail, MS Word, Expense management, or even Chatting, we all used to have an application for all these functions. However, the advent of web browsers revolutionized everything,” said Head of Marketing and PR AasaanJobs, Siddharth Gupta.
“Trends started shifting towards browser-based products or web applications. Therefore, inspired by such developments, we launched upgraded AasaanJob’s mobile web version to suit the needs of those users who have limited internet connectivity. We are confident that this development will help increase user penetration within the realm of mobile internet by manifold,” added Gupta.
Within a month of its optimized mobile web release, AasaanJobs has witnessed over 110 percent increase in candidate registration on its platform.
Specifically tailored for their target audience of job seekers, the company has also seen a 100 percent rise in number of candidate applications.
Apart from this, the company’s trained software developers have been constantly leading the way in implementing such state of the art technologies.
Some of them have had basic training in this sphere while attending the Google IO ’16 conference held in the US. Through constant development, AasaanJobs aims to bring most functionalities of its native app onto the mobile web. Also, it plans to roll out push notifications soon which will be added to its home screen in the next upgrade. (ANI)
