Aarushi and Hemraj Murder Case: Nupur Talwar granted parole for 3 weeks

New Delhi: Nupur Talwar, who was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for killing her daughter Aarushi Talwar in 2008 is granted a three-week parole to visit her unwell mother by the Allahabad High Court on Monday.

Nupur Talwar and her husband Rajesh Talwar the dentist couple were found guilty in 2013 for the gruesome murder of their daughter Araushi Talwar along with their domestic help, Hemraj by the Ghaziabad’s special CBI court.

14 year old Aarushi was discovered with her throat slit in her bed on 15 may 2008. Initially it was suspected that Hemraj, the domestic help had killed Aarushi. But two days later his body was found on terrace of the same flat.

The CBI said in court in December 2010 that it had no evidence against the Talwars. But the judge hearing the case refused to allow the investigation to be dropped.

Subsequently, a court rejected the stance that there was not enough evidence, held the Talwars accountable for the murders.

Atlast Nupur and Rajesh Talwar were convicted by the court which sentenced them to life imprisonment. The court pronounced them guilty on the basis of circumstantial evidences.
