Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday reviewed the implementation of the Aarogyasri scheme in the State.
Minister Kondru Murali and concerned officials participated in the meeting. While the government wanted to expand the scope of the scheme, private hospitals have threatened to pull out from the scheme if the tariff is not increased by May 3.
There was a war of words between the management of private hospitals and the government over the tariff. Government was harsh and said private hospitals benefitted a lot from the scheme, while the hospitals contended that they cannot continue the treatment with the present tariff. (INN)
