AAP releases Manifesto

The Aam Aadmi Party today released its “Samanyula Andhra Pradesh” manifesto for Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency.
The manifesto was released by Sudha Kiran, grandson of late P.V. Narasimha Rao, who is contesting on Aam Aadmi Party MP ticket from Malkajgiri. Sudha Kiran took up intense campaigning in Kurnool constituency for AAP candidates as soon as voting was over in Hyderabad yesterday. Sudha Kiran claimed that support to AAP has been tremendous in Telangana and Hyderabad, especially among the youth and it was AAP’s commitment that led him to join the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Kiran Vissa, AAP MP candidate for Kurnool said, “There has been tremendous positive response from people for AAP in Kurnool constituency. AAP has come up with a manifesto to put a systemic end to corrupt politics and to reach out to the needs and future of the common man through corruption free, transparent and accountable government. We gave a call to all voters to cast their vote for AAP, so that common people will get an opportunity to participate and control decisions related to their development since decentralized decision-making and swaraj are the core principles of the party.”
Explaining some of the salient features of the manifesto specially for Kurnool, Kiran Vissa talked about concrete steps for a corruption-free Kurnool, provision of employable trainings and education for youth, making Rayalseema University a Central University, provision of accessible health care for all, revitalizing agriculture and income guarantee for farmers by providing MSP for 25 crops at 50% over cost of production, making Kurnool a “Millet Hub” and a centre for “organic and bio fertilizers” through womens’ SHGs, protection of minority rights and prevention of land grabbing, revitalizing handloom sector by setting up of “Handloom Development Park” in handloom centres of Yemmiganur and Kodumur and provision of working capital for MACS, protection of the Tungabhadra and Hundri rivers by penalizing the polluters and provision of clean drinking water for all citizens by supplying drinking water at Rs.2 per 20 litres through set up of mineral water plant, review of Jalayagyam projects and irregularities, provision of all basic amenities for existing slums and facilitation of rehabilitation into new slum colonies only after speedy provision of basic amenities and public transportation facilities.
The manifesto release was also attended by Kurnool MLA candidate, Abdul Azeez, Panyam MLA candidate Subbayya and other AAP volunteers. (NSS)
