AAP rejects all who fail to serve Kejriwal: BJP

New Delhi [India]: In the wake of Sucha Singh Chhotepur’s removal from his post, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday took a dig at AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and said that he is ridden with a lust for power and anybody who fails to serve his purpose is ousted from the party.

Asserting that AAP central leadership is selling tickets for Rupees two crore each, BJP leader R.P. Singh said, “These people come together keeping in mind the greed for power, and when they are not able to achieve what they want they start quarrelling. The whole episode encircles the game of tickets for the Punjab elections, He (Sucha Singh) has openly said that the Delhi leadership is giving tickets for money, each ticket for Rupees two crore. The reason why Navjot Singh Sidhu could not strike a deal with the AAP was tickets, he demanded 40 tickets and the AAP central leadership denied,” said Singh.

“Same thing happened with Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav. So, in this party, anybody who talks sense or shows dissent, the party expels that person. AAP is not ready to have a partnership with any dignitary in Punjab, otherwise they could have struck a deal with him. The sole plan is to make Arvind Kejriwal the chief minister of Punjab,” he added.

AAP yesterday sacked its national convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur from his post.

Amid sharp criticism following accusations of taking bribes for assigning constituencies to party candidates for the assembly elections to be held early next year, an extremely disappointed Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that Kejriwal did not trust Punjabis.

Holding AAP leader Durgesh Pathak responsible for the “conspiracy”, Chhotepur claimed that the opponents were defending him while his own party was conspiring against him.

“I don’t want to damage the party. Let volunteers decide if I am a thief or an honest person,” he told the media here.

The AAP leader said he was ready for even a ‘death sentence’ if the charges levelled against him are proved true. (ANI)
