AAP forms GHMC committee to review civic issues

The Telangana Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday, announced the formation of a committee for the Greater Hyderabad area which will study and analyse problems such as power crisis, sanitation, universal access to water, transport problems, community toilets, waste management etc. and these issues will be brought to the notice of the government and concerned officials.

The committee consists of representatives from each of the 18 Assembly constituencies who will extensively campaign and highlight problems of the areas under them. Speaking at a press conference, the party members said that there are innumerable issues plaguing the city including terrible water shortage. Consumer charges for using electricity in Telangana are one of the highest in the country and the healthcare system is being ignored they added.
