Mumbai: The Shiv Sena on Friday alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is drifting away of from its core agenda of fighting against corruption.
Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande told ANI that the AAP was formed, as a huge front against corruption and that is what they have always boasted about, but now one can see that it has completely deviated from its stand.
“Basically, the AAP party was formed as a huge front against corruption that is what at least they boasted about. Anna Hazare and many other people along with Arvind Kejriwal sat for many agitations, which spoke against corruption. And now, this party is being caught in such issues,” Kayande said.
“There funds have always been a matter of suspicion and where do they get their funds from? Now, even government money is being used for campaigning in Goa and Punjab. So, I think, the Aam Aadmi Party has completely deviated from its stand of anti-corruption and it is some any other political party,” she added.
As per reports, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reportedly used Rs 1.5 crore from the annual budget of Delhi for the campaigns.
Kejriwal hit the headlines again recently when a national news channel revealed documents showing use of Rs 1.58 crore by AAP on advertising in its election campaigns.
