AAP campaign for Lok Sabha elections begins

The Aam Admi Party has begun campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with full vigour. AAP conducted a door to door campaign in Russell market area here on February 9.

Shazia Ilmi, national executive member of AAP and a social activist had come down from Delhi to Bangalore, specially to campaign for the party and launched an awareness drive in the locality. She spoke to the residents as well as the traders in Russell market area. She began her address to the crowd with, “ Watan ki fikr kar nadaan, musibat aane wali hai, teri barbadi ke mashware hain aasmanon mein, na sambhloge toh mit jaoge aye Hindustan walon, teri dastaan bhi na hogi dastanon mein.”

She condemned the numerous scams relating to 2G, coal, water, iron ore, land etc. and how the common man is being taken for a ride. She said it is high time to raise a strong voice against such issues which the party has already begun. “If you want to bring a change in the society for better education, jobs, roads, drains and be free from such scams, then we need to change the system and AAP needs support from you people.” She invited everyone to join the AAP in its crusade against corruption and prevalent system.

Mr. Zafer Mohiuddin, member AAP, said, “traders in various BBMP markets are being harassed to vacate. However, we would want them to stay in their places and continue business.”

Mr. Prithvi Reddy, national executive member, AAP and Mr. Siddharth Sharma, founder member of AAP also took part in the campaign.
