Aamir sad on Team India’s early ouster from T20 World cup

Mumbai, June 15: Noted Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who essayed the role of villager and cricketer in Oscar nominated classic film ‘Lagaan’, expressed disappointment on Team India’s heart-breaking early ouster from the T20 World Cup at Lords.

Aamir aka Mr Perfectionist dubbed the defeat as ‘disappointing’ after England won yesterday match by three runs and knocked out last year’s champion India from ICC World Twenty20. The actor was surprised on the decision of sending Ravindra Jadeja ahead of Yuvraj Singh in Super 8 match against England.

”Lost by three runs. I suspect the decision to send Jadeja in so early cost us dearly. Also England bowled well. I guess we need to work on facing rising deliveries. Of course its easy for us to give our ‘expert comments’,” wrote Khan in his blog today.

Despite the distressing defeat, Khan, who was full of sportsman spirit, congratulated England by saying, ”Well done England.” Before the match, he wrote,” We have to do it tonight folks. Absolute must. Go India!!!” But annoyed over sending Jadeja in so early, he said ,” SOMEBODY GET JADEJA OUT!!! PLEASE!!!”.

His prayers and hopes bore no fruit when Team India quashed all dreams of winning the Cup.

Mr Perfectionist also donned a cricketer’s role in Dev Anand’s film ‘Awwal Number’ released in 1990.
