Aamir, Rahman win Padma Bhushan award

Mumbai, January 25: The two powerhouse performers of Bollywood – the perfectionist Aamir Khan and music genius, the Oscar winner AR Rahman, has been honoured with Padma Bhushan award for their extraordinary contribution to Indian Cinema on the occasion of 60th Republic Day.

The Box-office king, Aamir Khan, who gave several blockbusters in his career, is already a recipient of the Padma Shri. Whereas the music maestro AR Rahman won multiple awards & honours including 2 Oscars, Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA, etc for composing soulful music & background score for SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE in 2009. Now once again he has been nominated for 2010 Oscars for Hollywood film COUPLES RETREAT.

Apart from this, yesteryear Bollywood diva Rekha and actor Saif Ali Khan have been chosen for the ‘Padma Shri’ awards.

So on this blissful occasion we wish the stars especially the two maestros – Aamir & Rahman hearty congratulations.
