Mumbai, July 07: The shuttler-turned-model-turned-actor, Deepika Padukone, has been swapping her opponents.
First it was dad – the Indian badminton legend Prakash Padukone; then it was her mentor Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om; then came beau Ranbir Kapoor; and now her latest threat comes from none other than family friend Aamir Khan.
Deepika, who was quite used to winning (going by her past), had to bite the dust at the hands of Mr Perfectionist Khan.
Aamir and Deepika had turned up for the final day of Tata Open Badminton Tournament. While Aamir paired with former badminton champ Archana Popat, Deepika teamed with dad Prakash.
Now, with badminton in her genes, one would assume that Deepika should have had emerged a winner, but that was not meant to be. She, however, loved to play with her super cool dad, even if they didn’t end up winning.
“He (Aaamir) is too good. He has been practising,” Deepika said, adding, “Bahut maza aaya (I enjoyed a lot). I am playing after ages.”
