Aamir Khan responds after PM appeals to Khans of Bollywood

MUMBAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reached out to Bollywood personalities and urged them to encourage people to vote in the upcoming general election shcduled between April-May.

Soon after PM Modi’s tweet, Aamir Khan wrote: “Absolutely right sir, Hon PM. Let us all engage as citizens of the biggest democracy in the world. Let us fulfill our responsibility, and avail of our right to get our voice heard. Vote!”

The Prime Minister posted a series of tweets also to the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and also urged actors Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan and other Bolloywood film fraternity requesting them to help spread voter awareness.

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven rounds from April 11 to May 19 across the country. The results will be declared on May 23.
