Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, currently in Delhi to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, appealed to every Indian to join the campaign. ‘This should not be viewed as just a photo-op occasion, ‘Clean India’ is the campaign we should proud of,’ the actor said.
The actor also took up the issue of cleanliness in one of the episodes of his super hit television show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ during its last season.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today kicked off the ‘Swachh Bharat’ or ‘Clean India’ campaign across the country, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The five-year-long ambitious campaign plans to completely clean the country by 2019, coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
