The Election Commission has given permission to a pilot project to increase voter ratio in GHMC limits.
Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal, GHMC Chief Somesh Kumar, M K Meena and Rahul Bojja discussed on the project. It was decided in the meeting to link up Aadhar Card to issue fresh voter ID cards to weed out bogus voter ID cards. The officials said certificates for the same will be accepted from November 1 to 25. Separate Aadhar Card Centers will be set up to issue fresh Aadhar Cards, they added. (NSS)
