Aadhaar card obligatory for treatment in Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital; patients in a fix

Hyderabad: Aadhaar card has been made compulsory for treatment in Sarojini Devil Eye Hospital. Staff of the hospital has directed the patients registering for the first time to produce Aadhaar card. As a consequence patients arriving for treatment are facing a lot of hardships.

Sarojini Devi eye hospital is the only state-run eye hospital in the southern states. Hence a number of patients from various districts and states arrive here for treatment. Over 600 out-patients visit the hospital for treatment every day. Patients coming from far of places are facing difficulty ever since the Aadhaar card has been made compulsory.
