Stating that gas cylinders will be supplied on subsidy basis only when the consumers furnished Aadhaar card details before September 1, Financial department principal secretary Dr PV Ramesh has said that the gas consumers have to utilize the DBTL by furnishing Aadhaar details to the oil companies.
Ramesh has reviewed the DBTL implementation in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts here on Wednesday at Hotel Marriot. Speaking on this occasion, Ramesh has said that the Central government was implementing DBTL scheme in East Godavari, Chittoor, Ananthapur, Rangareddy and Hyderabad in the state as a pilot project. He said that Aadhaar seeding at LPG dealers were somewhat good, but the bank seeding was very poor. He asked the officials concerned to reduce the difference between the LPG dealers seeding and bank seeding. He said that the LPG users have to certainly seed their Aadhaar numbers.
He said that the Central government was paying Rs.5 crore to the oil companies every year as subsidy amount of the state consumers and now it was contemplating to give the subsidy amount to the consumers directly.
Central Government joint secretary Dr Neeraj Mittal, Hyderabad district collector Mukhesh Kumar Meena, Rangareddy district joint collector MV Reddy, Civil Supplies department director Ravi Babu, Chief Rationing Officer Padma, Oil Companies representatives and LPG dealers have participated in the review meeting.
