Mumbai: The country’s largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI) in a tweet reminded its customer to link Aadhaar number with bank account before 31st March 2018.
The bank said tweeted, “As per amended PML rules dated 31st June 2017, all existing SBI customers are required to submit their Aadhaar Number by 31st March 2018.”

It may be mentioned that earlier, SBI had made it clear that if any customer fails to submit Aadhaar number, his/her account shall cease to be operational till the time it is submitted.
Bank also mentioned the channels through which one can link Aadhar number to his/her bank account. They are Internet banking, State Bank Anywhere (Mobile App), ATMs and bank branches.

Steps to link Aadhaar number to the bank account through internet banking:
- Visit SBI official website (click here)
- Enter Username and Password of your internet banking
- Click on “e-Services” and then on “Link your Aadhaar Number” link.
- Enter Profile Password
- Finally, enter Aadhaar number.
You can also link using Mobile App, at ATMs and by visiting a bank branch.
