IT Minister KT Rama Rao today said a new district to be formed in Warangal district will be named after Telangana Ideologue Prof. Jayashankar.
Paying rich tributes to Prof. Jayashankar at TRS Bhavan here, the minister asserted that the TRS Government has already named Agriculture University after him. And in the near future, the new district will get his name by the government. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already taken a decision in this regard, KTR said. The minister said Jayashankar strived hard for spreading the movement and taught us much on the need for statehood.
KTR also expressed concern that Jayashankar passed away before achieving the statehood. Every time we are used to remember Jayashankar for his persistent efforts for the State, he remarked. (NSS)
