Hyderabad: The youths of Hyderabad welcomed the New Year 2020 with full enthusiasm but instead of celebrating the New Year feast, they turned it into a protest campaign against NRC and NPR. They shouted slogans against these laws. The youths were clad in black dresses to mark the protest.
They said that the narrow-minded attitude of the Central Government has created unrest in the entire country and in such a situation, it is not proper to celebrate New Year’s Day.
Commissioner of Hyderabad city police, Anjani Kumar cut the New Year’s cake at Telugu Talli statue near Tank Bund.
In his short speech, he hoped that 2020 will be peaceful not only for Hyderabad city but also for the entire state.
