New delhi, January 04: Three days after they escaped in Delhi, there is still no information about the three Pakistani terrorists, who escaped while being escorted to a city hospital. The three men – Mohammad Sadiq, Abdul Razzaq & Rafaquat Al carry a bounty of fifty thousand rupees on their heads.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has also issued a nationwide alert. The Delhi police special cell is interrogating Meghalaya police sub inspector DM Singh, the lone cop who escorted the terrorists. Other Meghalaya police officials will also be questioned. Three Pakistani terrorists, who were soon to be deported, escaped while visiting a hospital from their detention centre in Delhi.
Even as the terrorists remain untraceable, a blamegame has erupted over the shocking security lapse that led to the men running away. The FRRO or Foreigners Regional Registration office claims that they look after every foreign national except Pakistanis. But the Delhi Police has contradicted this by saying that the terrorists were with the FRRO when they escaped.
Eager to clarify, the FRRO says the Meghalaya police sub inspector, whose custody the terrorists escaped from is not deputed with the FRRO. But the Delhi Police insists that DM Singh who was escorting the terrorists at the time, is on deputation with the FRRO.
The men who were being held at the Lampur detention centre in Narela were taken to the Guru Nanak Eye Centre on Friday for a routine check up. They were accompanied by only one policeman.
Around 2.30 pm on Friday, the three Pakistanis went to a roadside eatery in Kotwali area and managed to escape. On Saturday the police registered a case under the Foreigners Act at Kotwali police station.
