Over 94% appear for inter exams on Day-1

Hyderabad: The Intermediate Public Examination had a smooth begining across the Telangana State on Wednesday.

According to Board of Intermediate Education secretary A. Ashok, a total of 456,148 candidates appeared for the exams while 26,518 abstained in the second language paper. The percentage of attendance was about 94.51%. The Board has sent observers to different examination centres in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts. No incident of malpractice has been reported from anywhere in the State.

Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Collectorate informed that of 72,532 registered candidates from the district, 69,769 appeared and 2,763 were absent. A total of 34 examinations centres have been set up across Hyderabad district. (INN)
