Former member of Rajya Sabha, Mr. P Madhu in a press conference held at CPI office lamented over the attitude of the police which opened the rowdy sheets of 99% innocent Muslims in the old city.
He said that the old city of Hyderabad has become the precedent of police atrocities in the old city. He demanded the govt. to appoint a review committee to examine these rowdy sheets and to suggest their closure as most of them pertain to innocent Muslims. He said that the money lenders have made the life of the common man difficult in the old city.
He pointed out that even after the lapse of ten years, no review was undertaken of the rowdy sheets whereas review has to be done every six months. Criticizing the attitude of the commissioner of Police Mr. A K Khan
he said that undergo the training of social welfare. He alleged that the Govt. and the local political party don’t want peace in the old city. Rowdy sheets have been opened in the old city blindly.
The innocent people booked under these rowdy sheets are the daily wage earners. Police is harassing them to become police informers. He told that more than 900 rowdy sheets have been opened in the old city areas. Out of these, 99% are innocent Muslims. If a review is made, it will be helpful to many families. He also said that the present police team and its style of functioning is encouraging the money lenders and the rowdies. In these days of hardship, when price rise has engulfed the income of the poor people, the money lenders are sucking the blood of the poor persons. He alleged that without the nexus of the police and the anti-social elements, the activities of the money lenders cant continue. The old city has now the atmosphere of chaos and looting. In a recent incident of violence, he was injured by miscreants. The atrocities of the miscreants and the local political party have increased to such an extent that even seeing the dead body is also being prevented. He reminded that after the bomb blasts of Makka Masjid, Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat Bhandar, when the innocent people arrested in these incidents were being shifted to jail, myself and Mr. Zahid Ali Khan visited the jail to meet these persons. These persons ere proved innocent by the court and they were exonerated and finally released. Govt. apologized these innocent persons later.
Shaher Hamara Mayor Hamara
Madhu questioned MIM who claims to have ruled Hyderabad and question them of their claim “Shaher Hamara Mayor Hamara” slogan. When they claim about ruling Hyderabad for 50 years, why only Muslims are booked as “rowdy sheeters”? Out of 900 plus rowdy sheeters in the old city 99% are innocent Muslims, you can count Hindus are just less than 25.
“Why 99% Muslims are booked? And when voice is raised against police zulm and zeeyadati. When this innocent boy has committed suicide and I have visited his house against police zulm, why MIM is coming to police rescue? Why MIM have attacked me.
I had gone to pay homage and condolences to the boy’s family member and fight against Police zulm.” Says Madhu
He mentioned that when Babari Masjid was demolished in 1992 only communist and secular parties fought for it on behalf of Muslims. In a semi chocked voice Madhu asked the Media who fought for secular values during the bloody Gujarat riots in 2002. Its was only Communist and secular parties. He also questioned MIM role in Babri Masjid demolition and Gujarat riots when 2000 plus Muslims were killed by blood hungry Modi govt.
Madhu says MIM is not a representative party of Muslims as they have failed to safeguard Muslims interest and majority of Rowdies , Soodkhors and police informers are people who are patronized by MIM.
The life of poor Muslim community is very bad instead of attacking police they have attached him. I came personally to console the family members. This shows that MIM and Police are hand in glove in booking Muslims as rowdy sheeter.
I will lay down my life for the development of Muslim community and fight against the POLICE ZULM. I am not afraid of any party, I will continue to fight for the poor Muslim community.
