Ghansi Bazar and Chelapura are counted among the oldest localities of Hyderabad. With a planned conspiracy a particular community is trying to increase its population in that locality. The community is said to have enjoyed the backing of such Muslims who do not hesitate to barter his Akhirah (hereafter) for worldly gains.
An elderly person residing in Ghansi Bazar pointed out that there are at least 16 big Waqf houses in Ghansi Bazar and Chelapura of which 9 are occupied by persons who run silver and gold business and they have constructed towering buildings on the land. The role of some Muslim men was revealed in destruction of those Waqf properties. Surprisingly the Ghansi Bazar and Chelapura areas were once Muslim predominant areas but now one can see only people migrated from other states. One of the migrators also contested in municipal elections.
The Waqf gazette also endorsed the elderly person’s claim and after cross-checking the waqf gazette it was revealed that Ghansi Bazar has 16 Waqf houses of which 9 were occupied by non-Muslims and they have constructed towering buildings on them. The remaining 7 are in very dilapidated condition. During investigation it was also revealed that an old masjid which had 950 sqyds under it, its land has now shrunk to 300 sqyds.
