Faizabad, January 11: At least nine labourers sustained injuries, four of them critically, when an under-construction flyover on Lucknow-Faizabad National Highway-28 collapsed, hitting traffic movement on the route today. District Magistrate M P Agarwal told UNI that the mishap took place when the flyover, being constructed on Rousa railway gate in Rudauli area, collapsed this morning.
Nine labourers were trapped under the rubble. The injured have been admitted to hospital, where four were stated serious.
Meanwhile, the movement of traffic was affected on the road route.
In July last, eight people were buried alive after a portion of the same flyover had tumbled down near Lucknow.
