GITAM high standards and strong academic collaborations with premier companies across the country enabled the University to conduct campus interviews on large scale. Prof. G Subrahmanyam, Vice Chancellor GITAM University reviewed the placements status of GITAM University, Hyderabad campus on Friday and expressed his happiness for the achievements for the year 2014.
Speaking to media, he mentioned that 85% of the GITAM, HYDERABAD first batch (i.e. 2009-13), students were selected in 32 companies with the highest package of 6.75 Lakhs and lowest package of 2.65 Lakhs. Placement activities for 2010-14 batch are in progress and so far 88% of GITAM, Hyderabad students are placed in IT Companies as well as in core companies. Till date 55 companies i.e. TCS, Intergraph, Verizon, Commvault, Zoho, ADP, NTT data, Amazon, HP, IBM, Persistent Technologies, DST Worldwide, ITW Signode, Tech Mahindra, L&T Construction, Mahindra & Mahindra, Kewill visited the Hyderabad campus for placements. Seven more IT and core companies (i.e Maha Cement, Aprna Constrcutions, Veljan Dension Limited) are agreed to recruit the GITAM, Hyderabad campus students.
AMCAT (Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptive Test), Gurgaon, Haryana assessed the skills and capability of B.Tech 2010-14, passing out students and based on the performance they have chosen GITAM, Hyderabad campus for National Employability Award 2014. This is a unique award based on student’s employability skills. GITAM University, Hyderabad is one of the top 10 campuses in Andhra Pradesh and one among the top 33 campuses in India assessed by AMCAT.
