New Delhi: Congress leader and actor Raj Babbar on Sunday lashed out at the BJP-led NDA government for its insensitivity towards One Rank, One pension (OROP) issue, saying it should take ex-servicemen seriously.
“Government is somehow displaying its insensitivity and they should take the demands of army men seriously,” Babbar told ANI.
OROP scheme has been a long-standing demand of nearly three-million ex-servicemen and war widows in the country.
It seeks to ensure that a uniform pension is paid to defence personnel, who retire at the same rank with the same length of service irrespective of their date of retirement.
