New Delhi, April 23: An 80-year-old woman was found brutally murdered at her East Delhi residence on Thursday evening, police said. According to police, the woman has been identified as Pushpa Fiam, sister of retired Supreme Court judge OP Wadhwa. “The incident was reported from her single-storey residence in D block, Vivek Vihar, around 6 pm,” said a senior police officer.
Police said Fiam was found in a pool of blood in her bathroom by Vineet Kumar – who has been staying as a tenant at her residence for the last year and a half. “Prima facie it seems that robbery was the motive behind the crime as her house was also ransacked,” the officer added.
Police said the case was being probed from all angles and a case of murder had been registered at the Vivek Vihar police station.
