An eight-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a car while he was cycling near his residence in Mangalhat police limits.
The accident occurred in Shivlal Nagar near Rahimpura on Sunday morning. The victim, B Vishal, a student of second class, was cycling near his house and was hit by a Boleru car. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he was declared brought dead. According to Inspector Karan Kumar Singh, a case of rash driving has been arrested against the car driver who has been arrested.
In another case, B Venkatesh, 23, died of injuries which he sustained on January 4 when the motorcycle he was riding skidded near Meerpet crossroads. He was admitted to the OGH where he died on Saturday night. He was a driver by profession and resident of Deen Dayal Nagar near Jilelguda, according to Meerpet police.
