Hyderabad, October 16: Atleast 8 persons injured after hit by an RTC bus last evening at Banjara Hills. It is said the accident occurred due to negligence of the driver. However no life has been lost and according to eye witnesses a great tragedy was averted. Atleast 5 auto rickshaws, 2 cars, a van and 3 motor cycles were damaged in the accident.
Due to general strike government is hiring inexperienced drivers to drive buses as a result many accidents occur day by day in the city. According to sources the Hyderabad Central University bus was proceeding for Kothi from Kondapur when the driver suddenly applied neutral gear when some passengers alighted at ministers quarters, consequently the bus lost control and collided motorcycles, auto rickshaws and cars passing by. The driver escaped soon after the accident. Police shifted the injured to the hospital.
