Visakhapatnam, June 25: The severe heatwave conditions has led to the death of eight people from sunstroke in the last two days in this district of Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports reaching here this morning, eight people died of sunstroke in Ravikamatham and Makavaraipalem Mandals even as heavy rainfall in Hiramandalam Chvthivari Vedhi of Srikakulam District claimed three of a family this morning after they came into contact with a live wire.
There has been no respite from soaring temperature which touched the 40 Deg C mark on several occasions even as the weatherman said the heatwave conditions would continue for the next 24 hours.
