There exists a small village Janwada, at a distance of 29 kilometers from the office of State Waqf Board. It is located at the backside of Osman Sagar. It held special significance during both Qutub Shahi and Asifjahi era. A 3-arched magnificent masjid was built there during Qutub Shahi era and 75 acre land was endowed to spend on the masjid expenses. But today no one knows where the 75 acre land under the masjid has gone. The archives of archeological department mention 75 acre land under ancient masjid Husaini Begum while waqf record shows only 1650 sqyd land under the masjid.
When asked about this the president of masjid committee and its members told that poor Muslims have been making round of the waqf board office for 5 years to ensure protection of 75 acre land of Masjid Husain Begum and the graveyard, but neither any Muslim minister paid heed to their complaints nor the waqf board came into action. Out of the 800 to 1000 houses in the village only 17 are of Muslims. Villages have made illegal construction on the land of the masjid. Masjid committee president Mohammed Zakir Husain and other elderly persons told that a board has also been installed in the graveyard which states that the land belongs to the government.
