7,000 guests invited in Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap’s wedding

Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tej Pratap to get married today with Aishwarya Rai in Patna’s posh hotel. The big fat wedding will have as many as 50 horses and 7,000 guests. Rooms in top hotels and guesthouses have been booked to accommodate these guests and VIPs who are invited to attend the Bihari wedding.

Tej Pratap will tie the nuptial knot with party legislator Chandrika Rai’s daughter, at the Bihar Veterinary College ground in the city on Saturday.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, 100 cooks will be preparing dinner for guests. The catering head, Manoj Bhatia said that cooks and helpers from Punjab, UP and Bihar have been engaged to prepare the dishes. To be included in the list of original cuisines, Amritsari Kulcha, Agra’s Paratha and Bihar’s own litti-chokha will be served to guests. The feast to be arranged on more than 100 stalls to avoid queues, said Bhatia.

About wedding dress:

Bihar-born designer from Motihar, MA Rehman, had been given responsibility to prepare designer wedding dress for the groom. “We have stitched two sets of kurta-pyjama for Tej Pratap. One is sky blue with white pyjama while the other one is light brown with white pyjama,” said Rehman.

While the ideal wear for Aishwarya is likely to be in light colours. A source from Rai’s family said that the bride’s family had shopped mostly in Patna and Delhi, picking up the bridal wear from local designers.
