Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) Registrar Dr. M.Potharaju announced on Saturday that, as many as 700 of its students have received offer letters in the recently-held campus recruitment drive at both Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam premises.
The Registrar informed that, the students were hired by Virtusa, DST Worldwide, NTT Data, TCS, Mu Sigma, Amazon, Delloitte, Berkadia, Face and Google along with Indian Army. TCS alone selected 475 GITAM students from the both campuses and 30 to 40 more MNCs are going to conduct the placement drive shortly, he reveled.
He told that, they are encouraging the students to get an opportunity in the IT companies as well as Core companies. During the 4th year, before the 7th semester the students got selected, he expressed happiness.
“According to the academic schedule the GITAM University is completing the syllabus, conducting the semester examination and announcing the result. By taking this advantage, many MNCs are showing interest to conduct placement drive at GITAM. o that, we are trying to get more number of placements better than earlier years”, the Registrar added.
