Top officials of education department today held a review meeting on 10th Class Syllabus, changes to be made and other related issues in Secretariat here. According to information, the officials are said to have taken a decision to downsize the present 11 papers to just 7 papers for SSC students. Main aim of the decision to cut short the papers to 7 from 11 is to lessen the burden as well as give more focus on the remaining subjects. It is being expected that the decision will be implemented from next academic year onwards. Besides there is good response from the parents on grading system instead of pass or fail.(NSS)
