Hyderabad, October 6: There is a narrow lane located at 40 to 50 feet from Moghal pura Bibi bazaar Chauraha to Shalibanda. If we see closer you can see a historical building. This is a 400 year old maqbira famous as Kalyani nawab maqbira. It is in very dilapidated condition and needs renovation. It is one among the historical monuments near Charminar for whose repair and renovation the central government has announced a grant of 8 crore rupees. The monuments besides the maqbira which will be renovated by the grant include Moghal pura maqbira (Maqbira Mir Qutubuddin), shahi Julukhana kaman, chatta bazaar Kaman, Dewan devdi kaman, Dabeerpura darwawa.
Along with these the government will also use the grant to face lift high court, City College and state central library.
While the fact is that the grant of 8 crore rupees is insufficient for the renovation of only one historical monument.
