A 65-year-old man was arrested at a village in nearby Tirupur district for allegedly trying to molest a nine year-old girl, police said. They said the man, manning a public toilet at Anupparpalayam village, tried to molest her after she went inside. The girl ran out and informed her father, who lodged a complaint with police. He was later produced before a court, which remanded him to 14 days judicial custody. The man was later lodged in the Central prision here, police said. PTI
