New Delhi, September 06: More swine flu cases surfaced in the city on Friday with 60 patients including 28 children testing positive for the virus taking the total number of H1N1 cases in New Delhi to 832.
Two swine flu patients, admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, were in critical condition for the third day today.
The 69-year-old man and 12-year-old girl were admitted on 3rd September.
“The condition of the man is very critical. He was brought to the hospital for renal failure treatment and he also tested positive for swine flu. He is undergoing dialysis and is on ventilator support,” N K Chaturvedi, Medical Superintendent of Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, said.
“The girl has a history of epilepsy. She tested positive for swine flu and her condition too is critical,” he said.
“Of these 60 samples, 28 are of children. The situation is under control and the government is doing its best to provide treatment to swine flu patients in government hospitals,” Anjan Prakash, nodal officer for swine flu management in the city, said.
