6 killed and13 Injured in Two Suicide Bombs in Eastern Lebanon

Lebanon: Two bombers blew themselves up among a crowd of people in the village of Qaa, in eastern Lebanon killing at least six people and injuring 13.

It is not yet clear that who carried out the attack or why. The Voice of Lebanon radio reported three Lebanese soldiers were among the wounded in the attack. The bombers struck at 4 a.m. (0100 GMT), and all those killed were civilians said the mayor of Qaa.

Those injured were rushed to hospital. The military is sweeping the area, fearing that more suicide bombers might be hiding inside houses.

Since the start of the five-year civil war in Syria, Lebanon has become home to over a million Syrian refugees. Where the powerful Shi’ite group Hezbollah is fighting in support of President Bashar al-Assad.
