Gurgaon: Six people including a child were killed and seven critically injured when a canter and an autorickshaw collided at Gurgaon-Farukhnagar Jhajjar road, two km from the Sultanpur national park.
The incident took place around 6.30 PM when the overloaded auto was heading towards Farukhnagar from Gurgaon. The driver of the canter while trying to overtake another vehicle lost control and hit the auto approaching it, police said.
The impact of the incident was such that the auto tossed in the air and fell 50 m away from the spot.
All the deceased are natives of Madhya Pradesh who were residing in Farukhnagar sub town.
The injured were taken to the civil hospital here and later referred to Safdarjung hospital in Delhi.
“The impact of the accident was such that six persons died on the spot while four of the seven remaining injured passengers are in critical stage,” said SHO of Farukhnagar police station Mukesh Kumar.
