Una(HP), March 26: At least six pilgrims, including a 12-year old boy, were killed and thirty injured when the tempo carrying them fell into a gorge near Bangana, 39-km from here today.
The condition of 15 injured persons was stated to be critical.
The victims hailing from Hoshiarpur in Punjab were returning home after paying obeisance at Deot Siddh temple in Hamirpur district.
Carrying of passengers in goods carriers is banned in Himachal Pradesh and instructions had been issued at the barriers not to allow such vehicles to enter the state but these orders were not strictly adhered to.
