Six persons, including three gardeners working in the estate of a retired judge of Madras High Court at Yercaud were arrested here today for the alleged theft of Rs 20,000 cash in June last, police said.
Six masked persons had barged into the estate of retired
judge Kanakaraj Sengadu village in Yercaud hills on June 6, threatened the judge, his wife and maid at knife point and decamped with the cash and 10 bullets from a rifle.
Investigations led to the arrest of the six persons, police said.
The entire amount was recovered from the residence of one of those arrested, they said.
