Telangana Government will host a week-long 57th ICANN (Internet Corporation of Assigned Name and Number) International Conference at HICC from November 3 to 9, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma has said.
The Chief Secretary held a preparatory meeting with officials of the ICANN and of various departments at Secretariat here. Rajiv Sharma asked them to make elaborate arrangements for the big event to reflect the name and fame of the city and Telangana state. As many as 4,000 delegates, representing 120 nations, are expected to attend the ICANN and the preparations and best arrangements should be made, he said.
Directing the officials to coordinate to conduct the event as that of MetroPolis conference, Rajiv Sharma asked the officials to set up a control room of all departments at the HICC to coordinate and a nodal officer to monitor and make the program a grand success. A special logo and related stickers with required passes be distributed to the delegates to make it to the event in a hassle-free manner, he said, adding that special help desk at International Airport, special queue lines be made for immigration and connect with some of the hospitals and ambulances for necessary health emergencies.
Rajiv Sharma said plans be prepared with a focus on protection, security, law and order, accommodation, traffic, immigration, health and other facilities. Since Hyderabad is known as safest city for law and order and communal amity every care should be taken to provide complete and fool-proof security and protection to those attending the meeting. He also vouched for She Teams to be more vigilant and active during the international conference. Central Electronic, IT departments and state government will coordinate for the program wherein we will portray Telangana IT growth and efforts being made to increase of IT exports and future plans of expansion and for economic growth.
