57 per cent pass OU undergraduate final year exams

Hyderabad: Girl students have outperformed boys at the Undergraduate final year examinations conducted by Osmania University in March/ April 2018

While the pass percentage of girls stands at 66.05, the figure for boys is 46.97. Overall the pass percentage was 57.10, a slight dip compared to 57.23 who passed in 2017. The results have been uploaded in www.osmaina.ac.in

The total number of students who appeared were 63, 522, of which 36,273 passed the BA,B Com, B.SC and BBA final year exams. The total number of students registered is 63,677.

The pass percentage in BA is 68.27, B Com-64.21, B Sc- 37.65 and BBA- 88.04. The results were declared in 36 days and 2,435 teachers were involved in the evaluation process. Applications for revaluation will be accepted from 29 May 2018 till 15 June 2018without late fee of Rs 250 per paper. With a late fee, of Rs. 200 per paper, the last date is 25 June 2018. The mode of payment is cash accepted at the TS Online centres, according to the Prof. M. Kumar, Controller of Examinations, Osmania University

Candidates who wish to have photocopies of their answer scripts should pay Rs. 1000 per paper. Such requests will be accepted from 29 May 2018 till 29 June 2018. Payment has to be made through a demand draft and accepted at the Exam branch.

The University, in order to ensure transparency is also facilitating “challenging the valuation” scheme wherein a student is dissatisfied with the revaluation should pay Rs 10,000 to obtain a photocopy of the answer script. The amount is refundable if the candidate obtains more marks than awarded.(NSS)
