Yangon, April 11 (Xinhua-ANI): A moderate earthquake measuring 5. 5 on the Richter scale jolted northern Myanmar Thursday morning, according to Nay Pyi Taw Hydrology and Meteorology Department.
Occurring at 10:17:04 local time (03:47:04 GMT), the epicenter of the quake was estimated at a location about 57.92 kilometers southwest of Nay Pyi Taw.
The U.S. Geological Survey said earlier the quake, with a magnitude of 5.2, struck at a depth of 10.10 km.
So far, there is no immediate report of casualties and damages to properties in the quake-hit area. (Xinhua-ANI)
