51 capsules extracted from suspect’s abdomen

Doctors at the Government Osmania General Hospital have managed to extract 11 more drug capsules from Mosiea Mossa, a South African national caught at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here on Saturday.

The doctors have so far extracted a total of 51 capsules from the stomach of the South African woman after conducting Ultra Sound, CT Scan and Endoscopic tests. They have confirmed that there was not a single capsule now in her stomach.

According to Narcotics Control Bureau (NSB) Superintendent Dinesh Chowhan, the officials have identified the capsules as containing cocaine. The capsules approximately weighing 600 gram were extracted from stomach of the South African, he said, adding the samples have been sent to laboratory for further investigation. (NSS)
