50,000 government teacher slots will be filled soon

Hyderabad, June 22: Minister for Secondary Education, Residential School and Adult Education, D Manikya Varaprasada Rao has said that the State Government would fill up 50,000 teacher posts shortly.

Participating as a chief guest in a two-day annual valedictory function of a Children’s Consultation Meet ‘Asha Kiranalu’ organised by CAP Foundation, Minister warned that in case of any negligence on the part of teachers, appropriate action would be initiated.

Prasada Rao said that children attending the consultation meet, appropriately named Asha Kiranalu, had identified valid issues concerning their rights like child protection, need to have a safe environment and need for pre-vocational education for safe career paths for adolescents.
The Minister released CAP’s Digital tool kit on Pre-Vocational Education for schools on this occasion.

Around 120 adolescents, schoolteachers and representatives of NGOs, State government departments of Education, Labour & Police participated in the programme.
