The officials of Transport Dept. suddenly check the private buses and seized 50 buses which were violating Transport Rules.
It may be noted that on account of Sankranti, many Seema Andhra people living in Hyderabad are eager to reach their native places. Since no adequate facilities are available in APSRTC Buses, they prefer private buses. The private bus operators try to carry more than the allotted passengers.
Sources indicated that 20 buses were seized at Hyderabad- Bangalore Highway and in other places of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts 30 buses were seized. They were fined and allowed to go.
