50 mobile phone handsets recovered, 2 nabbed

Police today arrested two persons with 50 stolen mobile phone handsets worth Rs five lakhs from a hideout in the state capital, a police official said.

Acting on a tip off, a police team arrested two thieves, identified as Jitendra Kumar and Jitendra Sah alias
Chunha and recovered the handsets that the duo had stolen from a shop on Ashok Rajpath recently, Senior Superintendent of Police Amrit Raj said.

The haul of mobile phone handsets was valued at Rs five lakhs, he said adding that Rs 1.97 lakhs in Nepalese
currency and Rs 20,000 Indian currency notes were seized from their possession, Raj said adding the accused persons were being interrogated.
