Fatehgarh Sahib, March 14: A 5-year-old girl was killed when her hut in a slum cluster was gutted in a fire here today, police said.
The victim, Naka Kumari suffered severe burns and succumbed to her injury, police said here.
The victim’s parents were not at home when the fire started and were informed by residents of the slum over telephone, police said.
The victim’s elder sister Rekha had gone to fetch water when the hut caught fire.
